1. Information We Collect

Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a hashed salted value — we never see your plain password).

Content you create: Teams, scenarios, player rosters, and uploaded images (team logos, player photos). This data is associated with your account and stored in our database.

Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and debugging.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the KickViz service, process subscription payments via Stripe, send password reset emails, and communicate important account or service updates. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt using a per-user salt and pepper. We use JWT tokens for authentication. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card details.

4. Sharing

You can choose to share your scenarios and teams with other KickViz users through the platform's sharing features. Public scenarios are visible to all users via search. You control these settings and can revoke sharing at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

KickViz uses the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• Google SMTP — email delivery for password resets

6. Your Rights

You can export all your data (teams and scenarios) as JSON files at any time. You can delete your account and associated data by contacting support. You can manage your subscription via the Stripe billing portal.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible based on your tier. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data from our systems within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

KickViz is designed for coaches, parents, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are created by adults on behalf of their teams.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
